About LWS Knitwear Ltd

LWS Knitwear was initially established in May 1989 as a private limited company in Ludhiana Punjab, initially trading in woolen yarn and garments on a small scale. It was then promoted to a public limited company in April 1991. In 1994 the company ventured into producing lambs wool and angora blended yarn of 16mm count, with an installed capacity of 120 tonnes per annum. This yarn is used in the manufacture of hosiery knitwear. In April 1994 the company launched a public issue in order to finance the project of setting up a unit in Ludhiana. Almost all of the production from this unit is to be consumed by LWS Knitwear, a sister concern. Founded and operated by Girish Kapoor and Sunish Sunda, LWS Knitwear has provided quality knitwear products for close to thirty years.
