About John Cockerill India Ltd

John Cockerill India Limited was established as a Public Limited Company (CMI FPE Limited) in May 28, 1986 and later changed its name to John Cockerill India Limited. It is a global provider for components of Cold Rolling Mill Complexes Galvanising Lines Colour Coating Lines Tension Levelling Lines Skin Pass Mills Acid Regeneration Plants Wet Flux Lines and Pickling Lines to ferrous and nonferrous industries.

T R Mehta and Durmech Engineering UK promoted and managed the company respectively. In 1995, FPL increased its manufacturing capacity and invested in a new factory at Silvassa in the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli. A second plant was acquired in 2012 at Hedavali near Khopoli in Maharashtra and in 2013 the Taloja plant was modernized and expanded into a Centre of Excellence for Cold Rolling Mills. The company disposed off the operational assets at Silvassa in 2016.
