About Fine Organic Industries Ltd

Fine Organic Industries is India's largest manufacturer of oleochemical-based additives and a major global producer. Established in 1970 by Ramesh Maganlal Shah and Prakash Damodar Kamat, the company has three different facilities- Ambernath, Badlapur, and Dombivali- producing over 450 specialty additives. It also has a dedicated research and development Centre at Mahape, Navi Mumbai. The company sells over 450 products under the Fine Organics brand and has over 8000 customers from over 75 countries. Their products are used in the food, plastic, cosmetics, paint, ink, coating, and other industries. In 2018, the company held an Initial Public Offering. In 2021 and 2022, the company formed two joint ventures and terminated one respectively. The company's R&D department works to develop processes for fine and heavy chemicals, oils, fats, dyes, dyestuffs, retardants, assistants, lubricants, oleochemicals, and their derivatives.
