About Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd

Eimco Elecon was established in 1974 by a joint venture of Elecon Engineering Company and Envirotech Corporation US - a subsidiary of Baker Hughes. It manufactures hi-tech drills and loaders used in underground mining. After 1989, the Eimco division of Baker Hughes was taken over by the Finnish Industrial Organisation OY Tampella who had a 40% international market share in mining equipment. Eimco Elecon's product range includes mining equipment like air-powered rocket shovels, electro-hydraulic side-dump loaders, and air motors for captive consumption. They have also diversified into granite quarry line products with the installation of two windmills in Upleta. The Company holds the ISO 9001 quality management system certification from TUV Management Services GmbH for their design, development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing tools. Recently, they have signed two collaboration agreements with Sandvik Tamrock Secoma SA France and Driltech Mission LLC USA for manufacturing CTX models of Load Haul Dump machines for use in coal and hard rock mines as wells as Rotary Blasthole drilling and DTH drills.
