About Century Enka Ltd

Century Enka Ltd (CEL) is an India-based company that is joint venture between the B.K. Birla Group and Accordis Group of the Netherlands. CEL specializes in the manufacturing of synthetic yarns, and has three plants – Pune Konkan Synthetic Fibres; Mahad Maharashtra; and Rajashree Polyfil in Bharuch, Gujarat. CEL has been involved in a number projects to improve both quantity and quality of production, such as the modernization of their Nylon Tyre Cord Conversion Plant, increasing their speed of Polyester Partially Oriented Yarn POY spinning machines, and increasing the capacity of Nylon Polymerisation from 92600 M.T to 146000 M.T. During the year 2005-2006, an additional investment of Rs.100 crores was made to expand the polyester POY capacity, increasing it from 37900 MTPA to 81000 MTPA. CEL prides itself on its commitment to Quality, Innovation, and Fair Business Practices for customer satisfaction.
