About Ashima Ltd

Ashima AL, promoted by Chintan N Parikh and Sanjay S Lalbhai, is a company that not only manufactures synthetic textiles but also produces hightensile fasteners and automobile components. In 1992, Chintan Parikh acquired a controlling stake in the company after Sanjay Lalbhais substantial disinvestment. They go on to set up a 100 EOU to manufacture grey cotton fabrics which were accredited with ISO9002 certification within 9 months. In Nov.93, the company takes over 20240 spindles & entire weaving & processing infrastructure of Ahmedabad based Mihir Textiles of Sungrace Mafatlal group. Also, the company sets up two other divisions - Ashima Dyecot and Ashima Spinfab. In pursuit of it's strategy to offer one-stop-shop to it's customers, Ashima AL sets up it's first garment manufacturing facility and has commenced full fledged commercial production. This unit is expected to begin dispatching garments to leading international & domestic labels this week, thus rounding off this successful journey of product diversification.
