About SVC Industries Ltd

SVC Industries Ltd (formerly known as SVC Superchem Ltd) was incorporated in 1989, and had setup a PTA plant in Chhata, Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh. However, in 2018 the company abandoned the PTA project and decided to utilize its existing infrastructure for a new Mega Food Park. Moreover, the company had also partnered with Tecmor from US and issued Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCDs) worth ₹216 crore for the said PTA project which was commenced with trial runs. However, due to delay in approved funds, the Company was unable to sustain continuous operations. The restructuring plan proposed by IFCI Ltd is currently under consideration by the Consortium of the lending Banks and Financial Institutions. Recently (July 2020), SVC Industries Ltd got approval from National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) for merging 8 other promoter and non promoter companies. With all the assets and liabilities of the transferor companies being incorporated in the one transferee company, this amalgamation will provide great opportunities for SVC Industries Ltd to move forward in achieving its future objectives.
