About Empire Industries Ltd

Empire Industries Limited known earlier as The Empire Dyeing and Manufacturing Co was established in 1975 and is a multifaceted company engaged in activities like dyeing, designing, fabrication of cranes, marketing of machine tools, manufacture of glass bottles, and designing of electronics instruments & instrumentation systems. The Textile division of the company, Empire Dyeing, was shut down in 199394 due to poor performance. The Garlick Engineering division is a crane manufacturing unit with a technical collaboration with a German firm. The Vitrum Glass division makes amber bottles for the pharmaceutical industry and is ISO 9002 certified. In 1998 the company entered into a Revenue Sharing Agreement with Wigan Leigh I Ltd to impart education in fields like fashion technology, advertising, graphic design and business management. Empire Industries also has collaborations with Mountain State University (USA) and Cambrian College of Applied Arts and Technology (Canada) to deliver MBA programs in Mumbai.
