“Starbucks is a multinational coffee brand that offers various services worldwide. The CEO of the company is Kevin Johnson. It was established in the year 1971, in Seattle, USA. The company was started as a whole bean retailer and ground coffee, and other spices. Starbucks also has subsidiary brands such as Teavana, Shaya Coffee Limited, Seattle's best coffee, Evolution fresh, Torrefazione Italia LLC among many others. The company sells over 30 premium blends of coffee and other single-origin blends. Starbucks's trademark product is Frappuccino in the espresso category. It also sells beverages like frappes, mocktails, etc. Other products of Starbucks include salads, baked pastries, packaged goods, sandwiches, and yoghurt parfaits. Starbucks went public on NASDAQ in 1992. It is also a part of the S&P 500 and S&P 100 along with NASDAQ-100 as of 2000. The first venture of Starbucks was established in North America and Japan, after Singapore. In 2002, the company extended its branches in Germany, Greece, and Spain. After ten years, it established its business in Europe by opening new ventures in Norway, Finland, and Costa Rica. The best acquisition of Starbucks is Seattle Coffee Company for $72 million from AFC Enterprises Inc. After this, the company acquired Ethos Water for $8 million in 2015.
