Incorporated in 2008 as a private limited company, the company was converted to a public limited company. It also underwent a change of name from Welspun Investments Limited to Welspun Investments and Commercials Limited in 2010. On April 1 2009, the Investment and Treasury Division of Welspun India Ltd was transferred to the company. Its equity shares were made available on the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange Ltd (NSE) in 2010. With a long history of dealing in commodities, Welspun Investments and Commercials Ltd has established expertise in the market.
