About Venlon Enterprises Ltd

Venlon Polyester Film (VPFL) was set up in October 1983 as a private limited company and later became a public limited company in July 1987. It manufactures polyester film (BOPF). The company set up its project in 1986-87 in Belwadi, Karnataka and part-funded it through an equity issue of 1,01,000 shares worth Rs. 1 crore. VPFL’s PET chips plant of 8,000 tonnes capacity was commissioned in March 1995. VPFL also installed a Metallising and Lacquering Packaging Unit to produce polyester film. In 1998-99, it commissioned a Metalising Plant and trial runs commenced. Additionally, the company is setting up a state of the art technology Formaldehyde Plant with 15,500 tonnes production capacity and a 1,500 tonnes Coating Plant to produce value added films. In the year 2000-2001, the Formaldehyde Plant started trial production and met the production target the same year.
