About Usha Martin Ltd

Usha Martin Ltd is an internationally renowned manufacturer of speciality steel and wire ropes. The Company has 6 manufacturing facilities located in Ranchi, Hoshiarpar, Silvassa, Dubai, Bangkok and the United Kingdom, as well as overseas manufacturing operations in Thailand, United Kingdom, United States and Dubai. The Company is engaged in the business of wire and wire ropes, manufacture and sale of steel wires, strands, wire ropes, cord, bright bars, related accessories, wire drawing and related machinery, jelly filled telecommunications cables. Founded in 1986, the Company merged with Usha Martin Industries Ltd in 1997 to reduce cost and enhance productivity. In 2003 the name of Usha Beltron Ltd was changed to Usha Martin Ltd. Usha Martin Ltd have taken acquisition stake in Usha Siam Steel Industries Public Ltd Company Bangkok, Brunton Shaw Ltd UK and Wire & Wire Rope Division North which was commissioned on June 1, 2005 and eventually ceased to be a Joint Venture of the Company in August 2016. The Company has invested in many projects such as setting up of blast furnace, iron ore mining, captive power plants, 30 MW thermal power plant, third smelting shop, bloom mill, etc. As of April 2019, the Company had a steel making capacity of nearly 1 million tons and a wire ropes capacity of 2,59,320MT.
