About Themis Medicare Ltd

Incorporated in 1969, Themis Medicare Ltd. began operations as Themis Chemicals TCL. It was taken over by a group of entrepreneurs who also held interests in Andhra Synthetics and Antitibiotics. In 1995 the company launched a public equity issue in order to finance expansion and modernisation of their synthetic bulk drug plant and set up of a formulation unit. TCL manufactures and sells synthetic bulk drugs and formulations, with these products accounting for 60% of their total turnover. They have also started exporting, notably the antibacterial drug fumagillin, with a buy-back agreement in place. In order to grow their presence in the Russian Federation they are now collaborating with manufacturing unit PharmogradMoscow.
