About Technocraft Industries (India) Ltd

Established in 1972 by two IIT graduates and technologists, S.K Saraf and S.M Saraf, Technocraft was a company with the aim of manufacturing precision drum closures. Against all the odds, Technocraft launched a major export drive in 1977 and became an export house in 1979. As demand increased, the company moved into USA and Europe, and established several foreign subsidiary companies to facilitate stock flow. In 1994 they acquired a sick unit, Maharashtra Steel Tubes Ltd. and began manufacturing steel pipes, and more recently cotton yarn and garments have been added to the product lines. The company has currently 10 subsidiaries, out of which three are Indian, and the others are in the Middle East, Europe, USA, and Australia. January 2007 saw Technocraft enter the capital markets, by issuing 8,320,000 Equity shares to the public for a price of Rs.105/ per share.
