Nath Seeds is a leading seed company in India, incorporated in 1980 as a private limited company, it later became a public limited company in 1987. It specialises in the research, breeding, production, processing and marketing of hybrid seeds and vegetables including cotton, sunflower, maize, jowar, bajra, tomato, cabbage, cauliflower and capsicum. With a strong presence in locations like Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Nizamabad (Andhra Pradesh) and Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) it is one of the largest and leading seed companies. Nath Seeds has a collaboration with world leader Royal Sluis (Holland) to enable joint research, production and marketing, and has further increased its wheat processing capacity from 11.8 tph to 30 tph with additional plants at Ranebennur (Karnataka) and Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh). To diversify, Nath Seeds has also set up a facility in Aurangbad to process 2000 tpa of grapes for exports and to set up a modular technology laboratory for DNA finger printing and disease control of seeds. The company has also undertaken an Integrated Agro Processing and Corporate Farming Project, involving fruits and vegetables over an area of 1152 acres. During the period 1999-2000 it also successfully launched three cotton hybrids namely Vishwanath Manjunath and Nathbaba with encouraging results.
