About Tamil Nadu Telecommunications Ltd

Tamil Nadu Telecommunications Ltd is a public limited Government of India Enterprise specializing in the manufacture of telecommunications grade optical fibre cables. Established in 1988 as a joint venture between Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd, Tamilnadu Industrial Development Corporation Ltd and Fujikura Ltd of Japan, the company has an ISO 9001 certification with an optical fibre cable manufacturing facility in M.M. Nagar. Their clients include notable organizations such as BSNL, Tata Teleservices, Indian Railways, Reliance Infocom, AIRCEL, Hathway and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

Throughout the years, TN Telecommunications Ltd has diversified and increased its products range, manufacturing state-of-art optical fibre cables and launching manufacturing of Ribbon type OFC. With an installed capacity of 20,220 cable kilometres and 24,6210 fibre kilometres, the company exports cables to various countries such as Kuwait, Myanmar, Jordan, Ethiopia, Bangladesh, Nepal, Tanzania and Norway. By developing Tight Buffered Fiber Drop Cable and Raiser Cable with LSZH compound, the company has continued to cater to the needs of FTTH applications in India.
