Company Information

Symphony Limited, formerly known as Symphony Comfort Systems Ltd, is a globally renowned manufacturer of air cooling solutions for residential, commercial and industrial use. Founded in 1988, the company offered air coolers, room heaters, ventilation fans and domestic flour mills. The 1993-94 period was marked with the introduction of theSumo and Mini Kaizen models as well as the world’s largest working model air cooler. Over the years, Symphony has launched several products such as 4-side coolers, power-saving and central air cooling solutions, storm tower coolers,window coolers and the world’s first wall-mounted air cooler CLOUD.Symphony has grown its business and extended its presence in 60 countries via strategic acquisitions and alliances. In 2013 it tied up with Carrefour in Indonesia to make its air coolers widely available. Its Central Air Cooler systems were used by the Makro supermarket chain in Colombia and the newly established branch in UAE added to its presence. Symphony has also recently developed a range of Packaged Air Coolers and universal air coolers for commercial applications as well as launched a ‘Sense’ range featuring 3 advanced models with gesture-activated controls and a ‘Diamond’ range with a stylish and trendy design inspired by the facets of a diamond. Through its subsidiary Impco, Symphony bought back its entire shareholding from Singapore’s Sylvan Holding in 2017 and acquired Climate Technologies in Australia in 2018, thus obtaining a wide penetration into the US market. During 2020 extensive product value engineering was undertaken and the iconic Sumo series was revamped with fresh looks and innovative features. In 2021 the operations in SEZ unit at Kandla were sold and merchant export was started to cater to global customer demand. Overall, Symphony’s expansive product portfolio and presence across 60 countries, make it the world’s largest manufacturer of air coolers.
