The total cost of the project was estimated to be Rs 470 lakhs, including Rs 55 lakhs for land & buildings, Rs 75 lakhs for plant & machinery, and Rs 252.50 lakhs as margin money for working capital requirements. Furthermore, Jolly Tea India Ltd also signed a joint venture with M/s Packwell Ltd for its backward integration project with the cost of Rs 8 crores and expected to be commissioned by December 1993. The company also proposed to issue 193.2 million equity shares of Rs 10 each on rights basis and 850,000 shares on equitable basis to the employees.
