About P.M. Telelinnks Ltd

Surana Strips SSL is a leading cold rolled steel strip manufacturer with an increasing capacity from 20000 to 50000 tpa of narrow width 400mm to 750mm steel strips over the past decade. The company was taken over from the Rankas by the Surana Udyog group in 1987 with the name Surana Strips Pvt Ltd, and was then renamed as P.M. Telelinks in 2002. However, due to a decrease in performance within the steel industry alongside operation losses, the company was declared as a Sick Industrial Company and had to make a reference to BIFR. To further progress the company, SSL is diversifying into tube manufacturing with a 1000 tpa unit that is expected to be completed in March of 1996. The total cost of the projects amounts to Rs.6.5crores, funded by debt and internal accruals, and the company is planning to diversify into high value added products and exports.
