About Norben Tea & Exports Ltd

Daga Plantations Norben Tea Exports was incorporated in May 1990. Since then, the company has acquired its current name, completed plantation on 121.46 hectares of land and set up a factory to manufacture tea with an installed capacity of 19 lakhs kgs. with a breakup of CTC type tea and Green tea. The total cost of the project was Rs. 1475 lakhs and commercial production began in October 1994. The company planned plantation work in new estates and acquired land of 136.63 and 113.85 hectares in Nagar Berubari, Jalpaiguri District of West Bengal. Additionally, Daga Plantations Norben Tea Exports undertook trading activities in Malaysianroundlogs in 1996-97. The company has exported an estimated 182.10 million kgs of tea during 200102.
