About Naga Dhunseri Group Ltd

Naga Dhunseri Holding Group Ltd is an investment company that deals in shares and securities, as well as develops land and buildings. It was established as early as 1967 when it purchased 1000 acres of agricultural land with standing trees and timber in the Annamalai Hills in the Madras State. The company sold its Tea Estates in 1981-82 and discontinued its Cardamom Plantation in 1984-85. Its coffee estate, Plenty Valley was sold in 1989-90 and consequently, the company switched to investing and dealing in shares and securities. A Scheme of Arrangement was also incorporated in 1980, where the Company transferred its tea estates to Dhunseri Tea Industries Ltd in exchange for 2 lakh equity shares of Rs. 10 each and a sum of Rs. 20 lakhs. The revaluation of the company's assets in 1989 resulted in a surplus of Rs. 36,235,402 which was credited to Revaluation Reserves. To increase the size of the company, Bareilly Holding Ltd was also amalgamated in 1980 and Land Lease Company India Ltd. was made a subsidiary in 1981.
