About MPIL Corporation Ltd

Established in 1959, Mather Platt India (MPI) is a major player in process machinery manufacturing in India- catering to the textile and food processing industry. After a demerger, MPI has focused its business operations on textile finishing machinery, sizing machinery, calender bowls, calender machines, and food processing and canning machinery. In 1961, MPI went public and then Greaves Cotton transferred its entire 40% shareholding to Mather Platt UK. MPI went public again in 1990 and in the year 1995-96, various new products such as lime oil extraction plant, chilli processing, mushroom processing, and canning were introduced. Additionally, the company has increased its installed capacity of centrifugal pumps to 3079 nos. in 1998-99 and has signed a technical collaboration with Boop & Reuther Germany for manufacturing valves according to international standards.
