About Modison Ltd

Modison Metals Limited (MML) is an India-based company. Established in 1965 by G.L. Modi, it operates in two business segments – Electrical Contacts & Silver Flatware. In 1975, Mr. Modi set up the first manufacturing facility in Mumbai to refine silver and export it to renowned banking and dealing firms in the US and Europe. Two years later, MML started manufacturing electrical contact materials like silver and silver alloy wires, plates, strips and solid/bitmetal contacts. It had technical collaboration with DODUCO KG Pforzheim, Germany in 1983. Today, the company has two plants in Western India with over 350 people employed and is the only firm globally to produce electrical contact materials and contacts for LMH switchgear. It holds ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007 certifications, with its own in-house RD dedicated to building products using the best technology and equipment in the field.
