About Modern Dairies Ltd

Modern Dairies Ltd (MDL) is a State of Haryana registered company that produces a range of dairy products. Under the chairmanship of Amarjit Goyal and managing director, Krishan Kumar Goyal, the company was declared sick in 1997-98 and was referred to IFCI for rehabilitation. BIFR sanctioned a rehabilitation scheme which saw a waiver of Rs. 634 lacs in previous year's interest. MDL also earned ISO 9002 certification from DNV Norway with RvA Netherlands accreditation. In 2001, the company signed a commercial agreement with Britannia Industries for supply of pasteurised milk, table butter, and pure ghee. In addition, MDL has also undertaken to add new facilities like pasteurised poly pack milk and cheese making with a capital outlay of Rs 4.5 crore funded by banks.
