About Meyer Apparel Ltd

KBTL was incorporated in May 93 as a public limited company, jointly promoted by KBSH Group Haryana and Singapore-based Thakral Group of Companies, for manufacturing of mens suits and trousers. In 1996, the company got partially financed through a public issue to set up a manufacturing project at Gurgaon, Haryana with an installed capacity of 2.55 lac pairs pa for mens suits and 1.5 lac pcs pa for trousers. In 199697, 1185000 lacs 10 cumulative convertible preference shares of Rs 100 each were allotted to the promoters- Thakral Group of Singapore (Rs. 11 crores) and KBSH Group New Delhi (Rs. 0.85 crores). With time, the company has become a potentially sick one as per the provisions and has been referred to the BIFR.
