Medinova Diagnostic Services Limited (MDSL) is a diagnostic centre business promoted by A Raghava Reddy in 1993 and is part of the Standard Organics Group. Specifically, it acquired the business and assets of the diagnostic services division of Standard Medical Pharmaceuticals (SMPL) as a going concern. Currently, MDSL has four main diagnostic centres located in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune and Kolkata, and mini/medium-sized franchise centres at Karimnagar, Mancherial, Vizag and Nellore. Following its public issue of 6.75 crore equity shares in 1993, MDSL has invested a capital outlay of 10 crores in installing Magnetic Resonance Imaging units, Color Doppler SONOS 2500 and Auto Analyser Hitachi 902 in its centres. The Hyderabad centre is ISO 9002 certified, while new CT scan machines were installed at the Pune and Kolkata centers in 1998-99. Furthermore, the company has also completed abroad consultancy assignment in Abuja, Nigeria, and is rolling out a new health schemes aimed at increasing revenues.
