About Mac Charles (India) Ltd

Established in 1986, Mac Charles India collaborated with Holiday Inn, a division of Bass UK, to open a 5-star hotel. After two years of successful service, failure to meet business targets and high interest burden caused the venture to lose its profitability. There was a turn around in fortunes however, during the 199394 period. As the Holiday Inn collaboration is nearing expiry, the company is planning a Rs 23 cr expenditure for renovating and refurbishing the hotel. In recent years, the company has also disinvested from Vaswani Properties Private Ltd and Vaswani Investments and Holdings Private Ltd.
