About Kothari Petrochemicals Ltd

Kothari Petrochemicals Limited KPL is one of the leading manufacturers of Poly Iso Butylene PIB in India with a capacity of 24000 tones per annum, accounting for 90% of the total production. In 2016-17, KPL acquired the entire share capital of KPL HK and due to this the companies have filed for striking off / deregistration in their respective countries. To meet their requirement of raw materials, they commissioned a Lean Poly Iso Butylene Feed Stock LBPFS plant in September of 2016 and a 2 MW captive power plant in December of 2017 to provide quality power and steam. The company achieved a production of 16242 MT in 2018 which reflects a capacity utilisation of 94%. An Effluent Water Recycle Plant was commissioned in 2019 at a cost of Rs.400 lakhs in order to meet PCB stringent effluent disposal norms and reduce dependency of water from Metro Water Board. Furthermore, the company has installed product filters in all loading bays in order to maintain quality and a solar plant is also estimated to generate power for consumption. KPL SG and KPL HK were dissolved on 7th August 2017 and 1st December 2017 respectively.
