About Kanoria Chemicals & Industries Ltd

Kanoria Chemicals and Industries (KCIL) is one of the foremost chemical production companies in India. KCIL has two major units; Renukoot Chemical Works (RCW) and Ankleshwar (A). RCW produces Chloro chemicals like Caustic Soda, Lindane, Aluminium Chlorate among others, while A manufactures Pentaerythritol with technical help from Asahi Glass Company Japan and Stable Bleaching Powder with know-how from Nobel Dynamit and Friedrich Unde Germany. To reduce cost components, KCIL has undertaken backward integration project and commissioned a 25 MW Coal-based captive power plant at Gandhidham, Gujarat. RCW and A have both achieved ISO 9001 certification in 1996 and 2002 respectively. Moreover, in 2002, it entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sachtleben Chemie GmbH and is in the process of expanding Formaldehyde plant capacity.
