About Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals Ltd

Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals was established in 1978 by J. S. Kochhar in Faridabad, Haryana. The company strategises by combining its products into seven groups for effective sales and cost effectiveness. Through its subsidiary Jagsonpal Exports India Pvt Ltd. it is setting up a new multipurpose plant to manufacture modern drugs and formulations, partnered with Fidia Spa Italy and B Spofola Czechoslovakia. It is also involved in RD activities to upgrade the manufacturing process, packaging and cost control. In 1994, Aresco Financial Services, a financial company, was also established by the company. It has tied up with Makhteshim Chemical Works to acquire the marketing rights of an antioxidant product and Lycored Natural Products Industries LNP, from Israel, to launch a natural Lycopene product in India and South East Asia. Despite sluggish markets, low industry growth rate and severe competition from drug majors, Jagsonpal Pharmaceuticals still saw a sales growth of 15%, totaling Rs. 136.52 Crores, with a net profit of 8%, totalling Rs. 10.15 Crores. The company has implemented various measures to sustain this growth for future opportunities.
