About India Lease Development Ltd

India Lease Development (ILDL) was incorporated in Oct 1984 and started operations in Nov 1987. ILDL is promoted by Ved Prakash Gupta and Satya Narain Gupta, among others. It provides hire-purchase and lease finance of vehicles, machinery and other assets to the transport, industrial and construction sectors. Additionally, ILDL facilitates money market services such as bill discounting. International Finance Corporation (IFC), Washington and Punjab National Bank have participated in the equity of ILDL. Following the listing of their shares in Jun 1994, ILDL raised Rs 7.88 crore from the public with a premium of Rs 20. 15% interim dividend was approved for the financial year 19992000 and ILDL plans to tap potential in the insurance sector by facilitating corporate agents, brokers and third party administrators. 16200 shares were forfeited in order to comply with the listing requirements.
