IMP Powers Share Price

IMP Power, formerly Industrial Meters, was established in 1961 and is the flagship of the IMP Mangalam group. The company manufactures electrical instruments such as ammeters, voltmeters, wattmeters, power factor meters, and three-vector meters. It is one of the few companies in India manufacturing on-load tap changers, an integral part of the transformer. Additionally, the company has a partnership with Skoda ETD s.r.o. of the Czech Republic for the manufacture of higher rating transformers and a contract of 100 MVA 220/132 KV power transformers with MSEB. It is the only Indian company to export its products to countries in South-East Asia, the Gulf, Africa, and the Mediterranean rim, with satisfied clientele such as state electricity boards, railways, public and private sector undertakings. As of 2003, the company’s order book was worth Rs. 660 million, and as of 2005, the company changed its name to IMP Powers Ltd. To keep up with competition, the company invested in specialized flooring for dust free environments, oil filtration systems, and increased its internal transformer testing capacities to cater to higher rating transformers. In the past two years, they have also acquired contracts in West Indies, UK, Australia, and New Zealand.
