About Haryana Leather Chemicals Ltd

Haryana Leather Chemical Ltd (HLCL) was established in 1985 in Jind, India and commenced operations in April of the same year. The company is promoted by N K Jain and the Haryana State Industrial Development Corporation (HSIDC). HLCL's portfolio consists of a wide range of fat liquors, leather finishing chemicals, including pigments, waxes, binders, lacquers, and feel modifiers. The company has agreements with several international firms, including A Smit from Holland and ICAP Industria Chimica from Italy, for fat liquors and finishing chemicals, and Forbo Helmutin from Germany for speciality shoe adhesives. In addition, agreements have been signed to diversify into high performance pressure sensitive adhesives for packaging, and in 2000-01 a major expansion to add synthetic tanning agents to its product range was undertaken. The company invested Rs.4.67 crore for the project, and due to increasing demand, they plan to produce syntans by December 2003.
