About Gujarat State Financial Corporation

Gujarat State Financial Corporation (GSFC) operating from Gujarat is the second state level development institution to enter the public domain after Haryana Financial Corporation. GSFC is a CategoryI Merchant Banker, providing lending, leasing, hire purchase and fee based activities to small and medium scale units. Refinancing from SIDBI and IDBI accounts for a substantial portion of their resources. In February 1997, GSFC launched a public issue at a premium of Rs.10 and the Gujarat state government maintained its 49.93% shareholding in the corporation. Additionally, GSFC has taken on an active role in promoting hitech agriculture and export promotion in Gujarat. To facilitate information exchange, the corporation is implementing an Online service while they have also been appointed as the Channelising Agency by NHFDC, allowing them to grant loans at a concessional rate of interest from 5-10%.
