About Gujarat Raffia Industries Ltd

Established in 1984, Gujarat Raffia Industries GRIL manufactures high quality HDPE woven sacks for the fertiliser cement and chemical industries. Led by Ashok Chhajer and Pradeep Bhutoria, GRIL expanded and diversified in 1992-93, with increased production capacity from 360tonne/annum (tpa) to 1008tpa. This expansion included a new 792tpa lamination plant and 3177tpa capacity to make tarpaulin. To finance this project, GRIL came out with a public issue of equity share in 1994 and a separate installation of 255tpa capacity to make PP ropes. Along with striving to increase production, GRIL is committed to developing a diverse range of products in order to meet international customer demands.
