About Gujarat Petrosynthese Ltd

Gujarat Petrosynthese, an Indian business founded in 1977, produces polybutane, a widely-used commodity, and has a production capacity of 6,250 tonnes per annum. With the help of the Karnataka State Industrial Investment and Development Corporation and the China National Chemical Construction Corporation, the company founded the Karnataka Petrosynthese Ltd. in 1995 and successfully implemented it two years later. The company made strides to restructure itself in 1997-98 to combat the ever-changing market. As such, the plant was 16 years old and required updated control instrumentation and online analytical instrumentation to manufacture FDA-grade pure polybutene. In recent news, the Gujarat Petrosynthese has merged with Karnataka Petrosynthese Ltd. - for every five equity shares, a shareholder will be allotted one share of the former.
