Goenka Diamond & Jewels Ltd is a leading jewellery and diamond house that has established a solid reputation by providing quality polished diamonds and jewellery to wholesalers, jewellery manufacturers, traders and retailers based in India and other countries like Hong Kong, South East Asia and USA. The company is divided into diamond processing and jewellery business, with two sub-brands - Ceres, which deals in high-end jewellery, and GWild targeting youth. Their product profile, including rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and necklaces, is designed with polished diamonds, precious and semi-precious stones set in gold. Goenka is operational with a SEZ facility at Sachin Surat that measures 25,000 sq.ft. with 26 polishing machines, 2 sarin machines, 6 auto brutters and 1 laser machine with an installed capacity of 60000 carats per annum. In Mumbai, Goenka processes diamonds for domestic sales from their 2000 sq.ft. facility that has 40 polishing machines, 2 sarin machines, 3 auto brutters and 1 laser machine, primarily for larger sized stones. Moreover, their Russia subsidiary has a manufacturing facility for processing rough diamonds procured from local auctions, equipped with 10 polishing machines, 1 sarin machine, 2 auto brutters and 1 laser machine. Since their incorporation in 1990, Goenka has grown significantly and today holds two star Export House accreditation from Ministry of Commerce, ISO 9001:2000 certification and has opened three stores under their own brand GWild and one shop-in-shop with a planned goal of expanding to 12 GWild stores and two Ceres stores in the financial year 2011-12. Additionally, they aim to increase their processing capacity at Surat without major capital expenditure.
