About GKB Ophthalmics Ltd

GKB Ophthalmics Ltd, incorporated in 1981 as a public limited company, is engaged in the manufacture and export of high-quality single-vision mineral optical lenses. Currently, it has an installed capacity of 3 million lenses p.a and located in Goa with an additional facility established at Bermen, Germany. In 1997, the company expanded its capacity by 900,000 nos to 3 million nos. Additionally, it has undergone a major expansion project to include coating 1.72 lac pcs of lenses p.a. A new shed has been planned, adjacent to the factory, with an area of 1656 sq.mtrs to increase utilisation of the full capacity. The associated company, GKB Vision, has reported a healthy turnover. GKB Ophthalmics has invested heavily in the company.
