About NHC Foods Ltd

Vinoobhai Shah Associates, Mehul Gandhi Associates, Apoorva Shah Associates, Kritikar Mehta Associates, NRIs, and Hemant Topiwalla Associates founded the public limited company on August 4, 1992 and received the Certificate for Commencement of Business on August 12, 1992. The company is presently engaged in the manufacture and development of software packages and proposes to expand activities for the development and manufacture of 24,000 user friendly software packages, as well as build a facility with the capacity for 300 computers, hardware, and peripherals. To fund the project, estimated at Rs. 325 lakhs, the company plans to use Rs. 300 lakhs of equity capital and Rs. 25 lakhs of a term loan from the Janata Sahakari Bank. Commercial production was expected to start by July 1995, however, the factory building is not yet complete. As a result, the company is getting its hardware from external parties. The company had developed a software package called "Checkmate", which could not find a market due to the lack of upgradation and the company has decided to upgrade it.
