About Foods & Inns Ltd

Formulated in 1967, Foods and Inns Ltd (FIL) is a leading food processing business located in Bombay and Nashik. Chairman, Sam Manekshaw M C has innovatively pushed the company forward by launching several enterprises, such as a frozen mango pulp and vegetable unit in 1994, the exports of egg powder in India, a new product for a softdrink company, and lychees. The company sends out its products to notable global markets like UK, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Japan, Germany and West Asia. To focus on its core business, FIL sold its poultry division to Bhairavnath Poultry Farm Pvt Ltd in 1998-99. During this time, a further 175820 equity shares of Rs.10 each were allotted at a premium of Rs.50 per share to a non-residential director of the company. It has two subsidiaries, namely Dravya Finance and Asim Exports International, both of which are subject to a hundred percent ownership by FIL.
