About Ecoboard Industries Ltd

Western Bio Systems Limited (WBSL) was incorporated in November 1991 and received a certificate for commencement of business in December the same year. The firm is involved in the erection of anaerobic wastewater treatment plants, continuous fermentation and distillation plants, among others. It had sublicensed technology Know-How from Sulzer to give its business a lift. WBSL successfully completed a project to manufacture 24,000 prelaminated particle boards in October 1994 using agrobased raw materials. To further cement its status, the company decided to merge with Deccan Fibre Boards Limited and adopt the new name ECOBOARD Industries Limited. By July 1999, the firm had successfully started its commercial production from its Velapur plant. As of now, ECOBOARD Industries is the largest producer of particle boards in India, with an installed capacity to produce Ecoboard of up to 51 lakhs sq. per annum. The company manufactures boards of various sizes to cater to the demands of the different market segments.
