About Diligent Media Corporation Ltd

Diligent Media Corporation Ltd was set up in 2005 as a joint venture between Essel Group and Bhaskar Group, two of India's leading media giants. The company was consolidated under Zee Media Corporation Limited in 2012, and subsequently in 2017 it was demerged and restructured and regained its independence. Its primary businesses are printing, publication and distribution of newspapers, printing of books and other periodicals. It discontinued its printing and publication businesses in 2019, and in 2021 reached a settlement with the workers of its printing press. During the same year, the company's Nonconvertible Debentures were redeemed thanks to payments from its corporate guarantor, Zee Media Corporation Limited, amounting to Rs.290 crores. To develop its online news media business, it will enter into revenue sharing arrangements, and also avail services from two third party companies, Essel Infraprojects Limited and Digital Subscriber Management and Consultancy Services Private Limited.
