About Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd

Hindustan Media Ventures Ltd is a leading media company in India, known for publishing the third-largest newspaper in the country, Hindustan. With a circulation of nine million readers, it is highly popular in Hindi-speaking regions such as Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Additionally, Hindustan is currently printed in 17 locations and distributed through a network of agents and vendors. The company also runs the website Livehindustan.com, provides magazine services (Nandan and Kadambini) and plans and executes customized event solutions. It was established in 1918 as The Behar Journals Ltd and has since undergone several name changes and acquisitions, such as the recent 2009 purchase of Hindi business from HT Media Ltd.
