About BSL Ltd

Bhartiya Udyog Sangh, incorporated on 24 Oct. 1870, was taken over in 1971 by Jhunjhunwala and specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of several products from polyester ,viscose, to woollen and worsted yarn and fabrics, which it markets under the BSL Suitings brand. With area-wise agents, wholesalers and retailers available around the country, BSL has a wide reach. In Oct.92 a rights issue was floated to strengthen the company's working capital and equity base. Aiming to grow, the company was awarded the ISO 9002 certification in 1994 and established a EOU BSL Wulfing in a joint venture with Wulfing Tuchfabrik GmbH Germany in 1995-96. With an increase of 100% growth in exports of woolen/worsted blended fabric, National Export Award was given by India’s Prime Minister. To further expand the Worsted Spinning Division, 1920 spindles were installed making the capacity 7904 spindles. BSL undertakes modernization under the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme with the installation of 16 Nos PU85 Sulzer weaving machines replaced by G6300 Sulzer Rapier Weaving Machines and 3.10 MW of a Captive Power Generation Plant from a Finland based company.
