About BASF India Ltd

BASF India Limited is a leading transnational company in the Indian chemical industry, with products for crop protection, performance chemicals, dispersions and pigments, care chemicals, nutrition and health products, intermediates, petrochemicals, monomers, coatings, construction chemicals, performance materials and process catalyst. The company, originally incorporated as R A Cole Pvt Ltd in 1943, has been expanding its product portfolio and setting up additional facilities to provide competitive advantages and faster growth. Over the years, it has sold off its textile chemicals, paper wet-end and water chemicals, automotive coatings to other companies while divesting its construction chemical business and pigments business to fellow subsidiaries. Apart from this, the company also has a strong network of research and development operations to launch products and cater to customer demands. During the financial year 202122, the company invested in a technical services laboratory and undertook reconfiguration of piping and installation of efficient compressor. It also sold its Kaolin minerals business in USA and attapulgite business in Florida and approved the removal request of Master Builders Solutions Deutschland GmbH from the list of promoter group shareholders.
