About Asian Hotels (East) Ltd

Asian Hotels East Ltd is a leading owner and manager of the 5 star luxury Hyatt Regency Kolkata located in India. The hotel has 233 rooms and offers extra services such as laundry, business centres and fitness centres. The company also has two subsidiaries, GJS Hotels Ltd and Regency Convention Centre and Hotels Ltd. The majority of their revenue comes from Kolkata and they focus on the deluxe hotel market.
Originally, the company was a private limited organisation established in January 2007, however in July of 2007 it became a wholly owned subsidiary of Asian Hotels Ltd, and eventually became a public limited company and changed its name to Vardhman Hotels Ltd in July of the same year. Through a scheme of arrangement and demerger, the Kolkata Undertaking of Asian Hotels Ltd was demerged and vested in the company and subsequently the name was changed to Asian Hotels East Ltd and they entered agreements with Hyatt Group in the pursuit of operating Hyatt Regency Kolkata. Their shares were listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange on August 11th 2010.
