About Ashnoor Textile Mills Ltd

Ashnoor Textile Mills Ltd (formerly known as Gupta Carpets Udyog) founded in January 1984, is a leading textile manufacturing company that has production facilities in Amritsar, Agra, Mirzapur, Jaipur, Panipat, and Srinagar, India. In March 1992, the company made a rights issue of 35.85 lac equity shares at a premium of Rs 35 to set up a 100 EOU unit to manufacture terrywares, towelling, made-ups, bathrobes, jerseys etc. It also diversified into spinning and weaving of fabrics and bathroom mats, exclusively for exports. In 1989, a rights issue was made in the ratio of 1:2 at a premium of Rs 4 per share. Another rights issue of 88 lac equity shares was launched in 1986. This proceeds from both the issues were used to expand the activities of the company.
