About the Fund

Axis Long Term Equity Fund Direct Plan is a special type of mutual fund that allows investors to invest in the equity market of India without any market capitalization restriction but also provides tax benefits.

It is an equity-linked savings scheme (ELSS) which means that an investor can claim tax benefits under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, 1961 of up to Rs 1.5 lakh if invested in the fund. If you invest a maximum of Rs. 1.5 Lakh in this fund in a financial year, you can claim a maximum of Rs. 46,500* tax benefits.

It is a pure equity fund that invests primarily in equity shares of companies with a proven track record and strong earnings potential.

Investors can invest in the direct plan (low cost, zero commission) through either lumpsum or SIP mode. ELSS funds are a type of mutual fund which provide the benefit of capital generation through equity exposure as well as benefit of tax savings.
