About Wires & Fabriks (S.A) Ltd

Founded in 1957, Wires and Fabriks SA initially operated as Spinning Accessories Pvt Ltd before going public in 1985. Currently, the company is under the stewardship of Chairman M P Jatia and Managing Director B K Khaitan, producing various wire meshes and four-drinier fabrics. To allow for higher-value production of multishaft double-layer fabrics, the company released a rights issue worth Rs. 3.66 crore in 1992 and entered a technical collaboration with Hutter and Schrantz Austria. Wires and Fabriks SA also diversified into paper machines through Khaitan Paper Machines in financial partnership with Neve Bruderhaus Machinen Fabrik Germany and entered markets in Southeast Asia and Europe. In 1995-96, the company became the first ISO 9002 company in India and its continuous in-house research and development resulted in the genesis of new fabric design for meeting specific client requirements. Looking ahead, the company has plans to develop new fabric design, new products and diverse fabric joint seams.
