About Tulsyan NEC Ltd

Tulsyan NEC Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Thermo Mechanically Treated TMT Bars in India. Established in 1947 as National Engineering Company Ltd, the company has is today the Flagship Company of the Tulsyan Group. For steel products, they manufacture TMT Bars, sponge billets and ingots, while their Synthetic Division produces PP Woven Sacks, FIBC and Woven Fabrics. With their production facilities spread across Chennai, Ambatuur, Gummudipoondi and Bangalore, the ISO 90012000 certified company has also earned a distinction of being the first Licensed Rolling Mill in South India to produce TMT Bars and obtain ISI 1786. In 2009, they acquired Chitrakoot Steel & Power Pvt. Ltd. with a sponge iron manufacturing capacity of 36,000 MT per annum. The company is currently in the process of setting up a 35 MW captive power plant in Gummudipoondi, Tamil Nadu.
